1. "I floss every day!"—it's one of the most common little white lies told in dentist offices across the country. But according to a recent survey, many of us aren't as truthful as we'd like to think. A study of 2,000 Americans, conducted by Talker Research on behalf of Aspen Dental, revealed that 57% have admitted to stretching the truth about their dental hygiene during checkups. Have you ever lied to your dentist about how often you floss, brush or anything else?

2. Nearly half (48%) believe their dentist can see right through their fabrications about flossing and brushing habits. If you have ever lied to your dentist, were you called out for it?

3. Over half of respondents (53%) admitted they don't regularly floss. Do you floss regularly?
