Repaying debt is the #1 financial priority for Canadians in 2025
CIBC's annual Financial Priorities poll finds that paying down or eliminating debt remains the top financial priority among Canadians (17 per cent), followed by keeping up with bill payments (16 per cent).
More than two-third Canadians feel Trudeau should resign, finds survey
More than two-third Canadians feel that Justin Trudeau should resign as the Prime Minister of Canada, according to a survey. Canada is scheduled to hold parliamentary elections by October 2025. However, the feud and the rebellion in the Trudeau’s ruling Liberals Party is out in the open following the resignation of his Chrystia Freeland, who served as Finance Minister and Deputy PM in his government. As many as a third of Liberal MPs called for Trudeau’s resignation in an internal meeting following Freeland’s resignation. A survey by Leger has found 69 per cent of Canadians feel that Trudeau should resign, as per National Post.

Most planning to ring in new year at home
Almost 3 in 4 Americans plan to celebrate New Year’s Eve at home instead of going out, according to a new poll. The survey, published Tuesday by The Associated Press-NORC Research Center, revealed that 72 percent of those planning to ring in the New Year will do so from their home. Another 21 percent said they would celebrate at a friend or family member’s home and 5 percent said they would party at a bar, restaurant or other event.
