According to https://www.whitehouse.gov/: The Trump Administration will not cut Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid benefits. President Trump himself has said it (over and over and over again). The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) said the Senate version of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act will add some $3.3 trillion to deficits over the next decade. The new numbers, which came after rulings from the Senate parliamentarian about various provisions and changes to the bill from the House version, represent a $4.5 trillion decrease in tax revenues and a $1.2 trillion cut in spending through 2034. Have you been following Trump's signature legislation as it works its way through the US Congress?

U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis, a North Carolina Republican, broke with his party Saturday and said he would not support the federal "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," the sweeping budget package that would enact much of President Donald Trump's agenda. In a statement, "I did my homework on behalf of North Carolinians, and I cannot support this bill in its current form. It would result in tens of billions of dollars in lost funding for North Carolina, including our hospitals and rural communities," Tillis' statement read. "This will force the state to make painful decisions like eliminating Medicaid coverage for hundreds of thousands in the expansion population, and even reducing critical services for those in the traditional Medicaid population." Have you heard about this before today's survey?

The CBO says the Senate Republican reconciliation bill would cut gross federal Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) spending by $1.02 trillion over the next ten years. That means the Senate bill's Medicaid and CHIP cuts are $156.1 billion or 18 percent larger than even the House-passed bill's draconian cuts of $863.4 billion over ten years. Do these healthcare cuts make you proud to be an American?

Overall, the Senate Republican reconciliation bill's Medicaid, CHIP, Affordable Care Act marketplace, and Medicare provisions would increase the number of uninsured by 11.8 million in 2034, relative to current law. In comparison, the House-passed bill would increase the number of uninsured by 10.9 million in 2034. Do you support these cuts to the United States' social safety net?

According to Medicaid's gov't. website, 78,577,962 people were enrolled in Medicaid and CHIP in the 50 states and the District of Columbia that reported enrollment data for March 2025. Do you think that President Trump knew all along that Congressional Republicans were going to cut Medicaid benefits to offset tax cuts for the wealthiest of Americans and large corporations?

"It's caviar over kids, hedge funds over healthcare, Mar-a-Lago over the middle class," said Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR), the ranking member on the Senate Finance Committee, which oversees the Medicaid program. "The bill we are voting on today takes away key revenue for states and nursing homes," Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI) highlighted during voting. Reed cited a study from Brown University School of Public Health that found roughly 500 nursing homes across the country would be at risk of closure with reductions in federal Medicaid reimbursement. About two of every three seniors use Medicaid benefits to pay for their nursing home care. Did President Trump betray the American people about cutting Medicaid healthcare to millions of Americans?
