Though I recall seeing the movie's 2-LP soundtrack album (which made more money than the film it complements) in my town's depasrtment store's records section, the only coverage of the feature I recall hearing was a a short syndicated feature about it on my city's FM top 40 pop station. Therein, All This' producer noted that the feature is based on a dream he had wherein he saw footage of World War II set to Beatles songs. Were you in his position, would you have sought to have turned your dream into a movie?
Yes (maybe depending on the dream and what I'd hve recalled of it)

I'll admit that the idea of using Beatles songs in a movie consisting of World War II (and other) footage may be weirder than the music accomanying the movie. But the overall concept is still pretty weird, yes?
