The Platters were formed in 1952 and left a huge contribution to rock and roll. With four number one hits and induction to the rock and roll hall of fame in 1990. The group was sitting around a kitchen table looking for a name and there were several 78 Lps there. The woman who owned the house pushed the records aside and said "They look just like platters" and the name stuck! This set dedicated to the woman who has helped me so much.
