Music can definitely move us and bring us to tears. It can also inspire and sometimes even give us hope when there is none. Windsor, Ontario rapper Kyle Spratt wrote a song called Suicide Note 7 years ago, but after he posted it on YouTube hundreds of people have contacted him and told him that his song literally saved their lives. Spratt, now 26, was battling his own demons at the time as he was finally grappling with the suicide of his father, who killed himself when Spratt was just nine years old. The troubled teen considered suicide himself and says the song helped him get through one of the most challenging times in his life. His lyrics narrate the thoughts of a suicidal teenager who eventually kills himself, but in an after life is able to see the catastrophic loss he left behind. Realizing just how many people cared about him, the subject of the song immediately regrets taking his own life. Spratt credits the popularity of the song to his personal experiences with suicide. Do you think a song can really be that inspirational, that it could save someone's life?
