An all-time favorite meals is Königsberger Klopse. This dish holds a special place in Königsberg a beautiful, historic German Prussian city that became Kaliningrad after the second world war. The sweet-and-sour creamy sauce is the highlight of this dish; the flavor is unlike anything else and so delicious. You can find the printable recipe here: https://alltastesgerman.com/koenigsbe... Eisbein is a popular German dish, marinated pork shank first boiled then oven-roasted. The name "eisbein", literally "ice leg", comes from the shank bone that was once used for blades of ice skates. Well-boiled meat in combination with golden brown crispy skin makes this meal a special. Eisbein is traditionally served with choucroute, a braised sauerkraut, and boiled or mashed potato. Eisbein is an excellent event-dish for friends' or holiday party. Have you ever eaten Eisbein?

My new favourite way to eat potatoes! Schupfnudeln, also known as fingernudel, are beautiful and delicate potato dumplings pan fried in butter and sage! This schupfnudeln recipe only requires 4 ingredients, most of which you probably already have at hand! Schupfnudeln are a specialty from the Baden region of southern Germany and are also popular in Austrian cuisine! These potato dumplings are similar to the Central European kopytka, or Italian gnocchi! Schupfnudeln are usually served as a side dish and go great with a roast dinner, sauerkraut and bacon, or any meaty dish such as cream schnitzel! However I have just been eating them as a main! They're that good! Have you eaten Schupfnudeln?

Currywurst - a sausage with spicy sauce - is one of Germany's most popular snacks, especially in Berlin. Anyone who comes here is missing out if they don't try the famous, or infamous, currywurst. It's a Berlin staple. You may just think it's a simple hotdog with a special spicy ketchup but it's much more complicated than that. Berlin currywurst is prepared and served in a variety of different ways that determine the individual quality and taste. Have you eaten Currywurst?
