Results: Bursitis (Bur-SY-tis), a very painful condition

Bursitis is a condition which affects the small, fluid filled sacs that cushion the bones, tendons and muscles around the joint area. It's common to occur in the shoulders, hips, and elbows, but can also affect the knees, base of the foot or the big toe. You may experience swelling, pain in the joint area, redness and stiffness, what symptoms did you experience?

My experience with Bursitis was swelling, redness and extreme pain in the left elbow. The Emergency doctor told me that it could just happen suddenly, and that in my case it caused an infection. I was given a prescription for antibiotics and sent home. If you've had Bursitis, did you have flare-ups after the first diagnosis?
