The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was founded in 1933 by Franklin D. Roosevelt as a national work relief program during the Great Depression. It's main focus was on the conservation of natural resources located in the U.S. mainland, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
