Perhaps the most famous in recent years, "Gone Girl" by Gillian Flynn, this novel certainly sold a huge number of copies. It spent 130 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List, 37 weeks at #1, with more than 15 million copies in print worldwide. If you liked this book, you may enjoy her other novels, which are actually, in my opinion, even better. Have you read any of her novels?

Two years ago, the book everyone seemed to be reading "The Girl On The Train" debuted as number 1 on the New York Times Bestseller list, spending 13 weeks in that spot. It sold more than 18 million copies worldwide. Pretty good for her first novel! Author Paula Hawkins has followed up with another novel, along the same vein, which hopefully is as good. Have you read either of her two books?

"The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is a short story thriller written in 1982, which was heralded as one of the best depictions of the descent into madness ever written. It's a superb choice if you are interested in this genre of books, but want to start off with a short story. Have you read this short story?
