Results: First Sighting of a Leaf Vacuum Truck
Published on 10/31/2022
I don't know if they have been out there for decades or if someone more recently turned over a new leaf, but today I saw a vacuum truck collecting a pile of leaves at the curb of a street.

The truck was able to suck up a sizeable pile of leaves in seconds using a flexible tube that looked like a cross between a vacuum cleaner hose and an elephant's trunk. The diameter of the tube was similar to that of a hub cap. It was operated by in-cab controls. Have you seen a leaf vacuum truck?

Yes, long ago.
