Surveys asking for Personal Information

1. Some surveys may ask for personal information such as name, address or email address. This could be to match you to voting records to ensure you are a legitimate voter, it could be that the survey is asking you to sign up to a community if you want to, or a variety of other reasons. If a survey is asking you for personal information, we will include that information in the email and before you click the survey. Here is a screenshot of how it would look before you click, with the symbol in the lower left hand corner. This way, you know in advance if it is asking you for that information and can choose to participate. If the survey does NOT have that symbol, the supplier did not let us know ahead of time that they are asking for personal information and you can report that to us. Please note: Asking for date of birth, postal code, household income, or anything else we have profiled is not considered Personal Information. Personal Info would refer to things like first and last name, email address, mailing address etc. Have you seen this symbol before?
