Results: Greater Than or Less Than
Published on 05/18/2025
A common trick to teach kids which way the greater than ( > ) or less than ( < ) symbol works is to imagine the symbol as a hungry alligator. It always wants to eat the bigger number. So in both 4 < 7 and 7 > 4, the open mouth faces the 7, showing that 4 is less than 7 or 7 is greater than 4.
