Many of us have probably read the wonderful children's book, "Love You Forever", by Robert Munsch to our children, or have given it as baby gifts. The beautifully written children's book is both touching and sweet, and I know as I read it to my two babies, I always teared up. Little did I know the true story of how this book came to be -- good thing too, because I don't know if I could have read it without being fully in tears had I known. First off, are you familiar with this book?

Love You Forever was published in 1986 and sold millions of copies in its first few years of being released. By 2001, the book had climbed its way to the No. 4 slot on Publishers Weekly's exhaustive list of best-selling children's books. The song behind Love You Forever was what the author would sing silently to himself after his wife gave birth to not one, but two, stillborn babies. He couldn't bear to sing the words out loud nor share it with his wife. It was his way of crying and mourning the loss not just of the stillborn babies, but of a future with babies. He and his wife were told they could never conceive again. That news rocked their world, but shook Robert to his core. He had spent hours upon hours working in orphanages, wrote children's books and had even earned his master's degree in child studies. He never felt the same again. Robert and his wife chose to adopt three children and become a forever family. For years, he would hum the four lines from Love You Forever, consoling himself as he still grieved the loss of their first two babies. But one day, a story to accompany the song appeared before his eyes, flowing deep from the recesses of his creative mind. One night while reciting his work on stage before a crowd, he decided to wing it. He told a story to accompany the song, then performed the four lines from Love You Forever. The audience loved it, and soon after, the book was released. After hearing this story, how do you feel about the book?
