Honeybee deaths in the U.S. have hit record highs, with beekeepers losing over 60% of their colonies this winter. Scientists are racing to find the cause as losses surpass previous records, threatening beekeepers' livelihoods. This enormous rate of decline is higher than record reductions seen last year and is on track to be the "biggest loss of honeybee colonies in US history". Are you concerned about the record loss of honeybee colonies in the U.S.?

The latest honeybee losses are valued at $139m and have come as the honey price has climbed by 5% amid a drop in honey production. How do you feel about the rising cost of honey due to bee population declines? It's understandable – supply is decreasing

Honeybees, although introduced to the US, have become vital to the agricultural system by pollinating half of all crops, including apples, berries, pumpkins, melons and cherries. Beekeepers are increasingly struggling to maintain the bee numbers necessary to undertake this work. The loss of bees, both captive and wild, in the US is already starting to limit the supply of some food crops. Are you concerned there will be a drop in availability in some crops due to this? Yes
