Nunavut - Qikiqtarjuaq (ki-kik-TAAK-jo-ahk) is situated above the Arctic Circle and off eastern Baffin Island. Formerly known as Broughton Island until November 1998, the island is known for Arctic wildlife (ring seals, polar bears, bowhead whales, narwhals), bird watching (Qaqulluit National Wildlife Area), and as the northern access point for Auyuittuq National Park. Qikiqtarjuaq has a tundra climate which means I would need to be a polar bear to live there! Have you ever visited this community?
