The Wheel Of Fortune has been on TV since 1975, created by Merv Griffin and first hosted by Chuck Woolery, most famous for Love Connection. Wheel of Fortune ranks as the longest-running syndicated game show in the United States, with over 7,000 episodes taped and aired. The syndicated series' 38th season premiered on September 14, 2020, and Pat Sajak became the longest-running host of any game show, surpassing Bob Barker. Sajak and Vanna White have been on the show since 1983, with some time off during that run. Here's some interesting trivia about the show -- how many of these did you know?
There is only one Wheel, and it weighs 2,400 pounds! The Wheel noise comes from 73 stainless steel pins which hit three rubber flippers.

"I'd like to buy a vowel". This famous line is spoken by contestants when they need a hint, and then they can buy either an A-E-I-O-U. The Y is not considered a vowel on the show. Interestingly enough, even though the dollar values for all the other letter have gone up through the years, the cost of buying a vowel has remained the same -- $250. Do you think of the Y as a vowel?

Being an avid Scrabble player, I am well aware of those words that do not contain any vowels, which come in handy when your have all consonants on your tile rack. Do you enjoy Scrabble, and are you aware of these words that do not contain any vowels -- even that don't contain the letter "Y", the "sometimes vowel"?

I've noticed a strange trend in music, where some groups use the letter "V" instead of the letter "U" in their name, or just use the letter "V" in their name. The group that comes instantly to mind is the Chvrches. The band members settled on the name Chvrches (pronounced Churches), which uses the Roman letter "V" instead of a "U". This spelling was chosen to differentiate themselves from actual churches in online search results. Some put a "V" in their name to give it a stylized, old ancient look that matches with their aesthetic and beliefs. In Latin the letter "U" did not exist. The "V" made the sound "U" makes today. That is why the letter "W" is called what it is, and not "double V". Are you familiar with any of these singers or groups that use "V" this way?
